Description The Department of Chemistry at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Modeling of Protein Structure and Function. The PI desires an applicant that can lead an independent project focused on ATP-dependent translocation mechanism of SARS-CoV-2 nsp 13 helicase, perform molecular simulations, analyze data, provide updates on research progress during group meetings, write scientific manuscripts for peer reviewed journals, disseminate research at national conference (oral/poster presentations) and assist the PI in writing grant proposals. Lab management responsibilities will include, managing day to day responsibilities in running the McCullagh lab. These responsibilities will include, but at not limited to, assisting the PI in providing technical supervision of one or more graduate students, mentor and train new graduate students, mentor and train undergraduate students conducting research projects, be responsible for routine operations in the laboratory including computer maintenance, and data storage.
