POSITION SUMMARY: The Perioperative Operating Room Supervisor (Surgery Center) ensures expert nursing care delivery providing staff education, consultation, evidence-based clinical practice, and leadership in the operating room setting. This role will supervise operating room staff in their daily activities to ensure the delivery of care according to established departmental policies and procedures. This position assists leadership with resolving employee human resource management, fiscal and budgetary practices, performance reviews, developing and implementing performance improvement activities and orienting new employees. This role serves as a key communicator for organizational updates, policy changes and education needs. This position establishes and maintains communication with physicians and other professionals to promote mutual understanding of problems and plans of care. This position acts as a professional/clinical resource collaborating with physicians, clinicians, purchasing, vendors and staff to identify the supply and instrument resources and preferences prior to scheduled procedures.
