Visiting Assistant Professor / Instructor of Japanese Language

Description Knox College invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Japanese Language beginning September 2022. This position has a one-year initial appointment with possibility of renewal. We invite applications from Japanese language specialists with a commitment to undergraduate education. The successful candidate will have a strong interest and experience in teaching language in a proficiency-oriented and inclusive program. Teaching responsibilities will be at the beginning and intermediate levels in Japanese. Disciplinary specialization is open, and candidates will have the opportunity to work with students with varied academic interests. The normal teaching load is two courses per ten-week trimester. Knox is a diverse college with over 35% of the student body identifying as American students of color and an additional 15% international students.
