Summary Job Description: MRI Tech Aide Part Time, Night Shift: The MRI Tech Aid will assist with scheduling MRI procedures, managing electronic health record work queues (including scheduling, pre-authorizations, and obtaining outside films), and collaborating with physician offices to obtain necessary referrals, orders, and pre-authorizations. The role requires close coordination with MRI technologists, radiologists, and providers to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the scheduling process, with a focus on customer service and the accuracy of the information obtained. Key Responsibilities: Assist with patient throughput, scheduling, monitoring work queues, and obtaining outside films or imaging discs while collaborating with MRI technologists, nurses, and providers. Schedule MRI procedures, manage electronic health record work queues, and communicate with physician offices for referrals, orders, and pre-authorizations. Display excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, acting as a liaison between MRI technologists and ordering physicians, addressing customer concerns with appropriate follow-up.
