Cushion Assembler (6:00am to 2:30pm)

Job description

Hourly Rate: $17.75 DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY: To use hand and other standard tools to build cushions that meet order specifications and production standards RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: •Use hand and standard tools, such as a band saw, glue gun, and trimming knives to assemble foams and fabrics into cushions of various size, shape and style based on order specifications •Perform various tasks including organizing materials, cutting, gluing, assembling and packaging •Read and follow electronic work instructions and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines and be aware of and adhere to all Quality requirements in the build process •Deliver completed cushions to Production areas as needed •Utilize Oracle to scan cushions into sub-inventory when delivered to Production areas •Utilize Kanban inventory system •Notify leadership of any documentation errors (i.e. Bills of Material, Quality documents, Work Instructions, etc.) •Adhere to department guidelines and the calibration schedule for all tools in your work area •Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management •Complete the annual CTPAT Security Trai...
