Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) 2026-2027 School Year Position Join the team at Care Options for Kids We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support students with hearing differences in achieving their full academic and social potential. In this role, you’ll provide specialized instruction, foster communication development, and help students fully access the general education curriculum. What You’ll Do: Provide direct instruction in: Auditory skills and listening development Speech and language support (in collaboration with SLPs) American Sign Language (ASL), cued speech, or total communication (based on student needs) Self-advocacy and compensatory skills: Adapt and modify curriculum to ensure accessibility Conduct assessments related to hearing, communication, and learning needs Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, audiologists, SLPs, and families Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and compliance with IDEA Support students in using hearing assistive technology (e.g., FM/DM systems, hearing aids, cochlear implants) Promote language development and soci...
