JOB SUMMARY: The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for efficiently operating the imaging equipment and all ancillary equipment for all procedures in the CV Lab; importing/exporting all CD's; scrubbing and assisting physicians with all procedures. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent: Kentucky Certified Radiation Operator (general): Registered by ARRT: BLS Certification: ACLS Certification: Minimum Work Experience: Two years general experience in Radiology or one year as Vascular Technologist One year experience in Cardiovascular Lab Required Skills: Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress. OSHA Category: High potential for direct exposure. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform startup and shut down of Radiographic equipment. Operate the imaging equipment to obtain high quality diagnostic images. Send out cine film/CD's to other facilities as requested. Monitor radiation safety practices of Cardiovascular Lab personnel. Monitor film badge program. Demonstrate knowledge of cine film protector.
