These tasks are to be within the range of responsibilities that the Registered Nurse (RN) can rightfully delegate to an unlicensed patient care provider. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) follows the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Lead/Charge Nurse, the Nursing Director/ Assistant Nursing Director, as well as the House Supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: 1. High School graduate or GED equivalent. 2. Will be required to attend and successfully complete the UTMC Healthcare Tech training course and maintain CPR/BLS certification thereafter.
