Description Full-time opportunity available!: Pay: $18.01/hour: The Saratoga Regional YMCA is hiring for a Teacher Assistant and we are excited to have you join our team! This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Assists in planning and implementation of daily program activities and curriculum for assigned classroom. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals and promotes safety in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Maintains ratio within classrooms to cover for lunch breaks, bathroom breaks, planning, and other duties as needed. - Assists Teacher in the implementation of daily lesson plans and activities, and actively participates in classroom instruction. - Adheres to YMCA and/or OCFS guidelines for proper verbal interaction, proper learn and play techniques, as well as age-appropriate redirection as a form of discipline. - Supports behavioral management plans, and maintains confidentiality, sensitivity and patience with the children and parents through approp...
