Overview The Document Imaging Service Center (DISC) is a worksite developed by the Boston Public Schools STRIVE Program. DISC offers relevant and meaningful internships to Boston Public High School students with significant disabilities and at-risk youth, and has been doing so for over a decade. All DISC interns engage in real-world work, with opportunities available year-round. The continued success of the DISC internships is largely due to the strong partnership between STRIVE/DISC and the City of Boston's Division of Youth Engagement & Employment. DISC is a stand-alone component of the Boston Public Schools STRIVE Program and is supervised by Donna Hannon, who has been involved with City of Boston youth program funding since 1994. This longstanding partnership has led to successful outcomes for students from the disability community, offering valuable experience that they might not have had otherwise.
