Millwright Department: Manufacturing & Distribution - Skilled Jobs Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Columbia, PA - Plant: Reporting To: Tim Schechterly: Compensation: $36.93 / hour: Description: The following is a list of general responsibilities and skills necessary to perform the duties of the (Journeyperson Millwright) classification (labor grade ( 9 ): Key Responsibilities Under general supervision, will be responsible for but not limited to the following: - Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner - Diagnostic and repair tools and equipment used in dissembling, repairing and installing mechanical equipment - Common reasons for mechanical failure and the steps necessary to correct malfunctioning - Responsible for varied types of motors and their operation - Working with the Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems - Analyze mechanical problems, organize assigned maintenance and repair work, and develop effective work methods - Rebuild and install new and/or rebuilt assemblies in equipment - Weld broken parts, burn and fabricate - Reading and interpreting maintenance manuals, using diagram schematics and parts manual Skills, Knowledge and Expertise: Skills Required: - The...
