Job Title: Senior Design Engineer, Trans/Civil Duration: 12 Months Location: Reno Nevada 89511 Pay range: $74 - $83/hr on W2 JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will require driving to field locations on occasion. Travel less than 10%. Driving Requirement: Yes Company Vehicle: Personal vehicle Nature of Driving: Site-to-site / field work travel Driving Screening and Certification : Standard MVR check - Provides comprehensive civil/structural engineering design services for substation and/or transmission facilities, and to ensure that these facilities are constructed on schedule and within committed resource allocations. - Provides civil engineering expertise to develop substation/civil plans for sitework including grading, off-site improvements, drainage facilities, fencing and block walls, and landscaping. In addition, completes calculations and prepares designs for substation steel structures, foundations, and control enclosures. - Provides civil engineering expertise to transmission line engineering design/analysis, route analysis and selection, calculations for line design (includes structure loading, foundation design and conductor sag), specifies materials and evaluates bid docume...
