Primary Purpose of this Position: Assist the estimating or project team with estimating tasks as assigned. Essential Job Functions: Assist Estimators or Project Managers in reviewing customer-supplied plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents. Perform quantity takeoffs for structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and buyout items under direction. Support scope review by helping identify inclusions, exclusions, and discrepancies in project documents. Assist in soliciting and tracking vendor and subcontractor pricing. Help ensure all required quotes are received and organized prior to bid deadlines. Organize and maintain estimating files, including drawings, specifications, addenda, and vendor quotes. Assist in preparation of bid tabs, estimate summaries, and proposal documents. Support development of estimates for material, detailing, shop labor, and buyouts.
