FlexStaff is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for our client, a manufacturer of products for the aerospace and defense industry. This is a permanent, direct hire, full-time position on-site at their location in Melville. The Senior Financial Analyst will assist the Controller in providing support to several manufacturing sites in areas relating to variance analysis, work order management, inventory, process improvement and several other cost-related topics. Responsibilities: - Adherence to the monthly, quarterly and yearly close process and timeline. - Reviewing/updating entries to the general ledger. - Account reconciliation and analysis related to inventory reconciliation and cost of goods sold accounts. - Ensuring the accuracy and reconciliation of the project cost ledger to the balance sheet, including the accuracy of materials, labor, other direct cost, and associated indirect cost. - Completing the Excess & Obsolete process on a quarterly basis. - Working closely with Business Management, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Program Management, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to provide cost accounting support and resolve issues on cost and inventory. - Coordinating peri...
