Job Description Hours: Full-Time Position – 35 Hours Work Location: 30-30 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY 11101 Only candidates who are permanent in the Electrical Engineer title, reachable on the Open-Competitive Exam #4039, or filed for exam #6046 may apply. The NYC Department of Design & Construction, Division of Public Buildings, seeks a Design Reviewer (Electrical). The selected candidate will perform a comprehensive review of design and/or constructability documents from consultant engineering services and In-house design for DDC’s capital construction program. The Design Reviewer will be responsible for: project scoping, design and/or constructability review of consultant drawings and specifications (utilizing Blue-Beam), site inspections and reports, ad hoc technical investigations; condition surveys; in-house design (utilizing AutoCAD and BIM), lighting calculations and providing technical expertise and support services for client-agency projects.
