POSITION OVERVIEW: Provides skilled leadership in the delivery of human resource services and activities to the management team and employees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Serves as a liaison to management on HR related issues such as talent and performance management, leadership development, workforce planning, labor & employee relations, training objectives, compensation, and benefits. - Fosters a cohesive working relationship with the local union and participates in committees as needed. - Conducts inquiries and investigations, as required, and works closely with management to resolve issues. - Assists in responding to claims from outside entities such as the local union, EEOC, and DOL. - Counsels site supervisory management on the Labor Agreement to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and corresponding employment laws. - Provides daily guidance to front-line managers and employees regarding coaching, counseling, career development, policy interpretation, and general HR related policy or procedures. - Manage complex employee relations issues by conducting effective investigations. - Maintain in-depth and current knowledge of federal and state regulations to ensure c...
