Preconstruction Engineer

Job Description DPR Construction is seeking a Preconstruction Engineer with 1-5 years of commercial construction experience. Estimators will work primarily on negotiated commercial projects within our core markets. Estimators will work closely with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors and are required to have the following skills: Additional Experience (preferred but not required) - Ability to prepare detailed instructions to bidders, trade specific clarifications and comprehensive bid packages. - Must have knowledge and understanding of unit costs and the factors that affect construction cost. - Must have experience being a member of the team involved in Request for Proposal Responses (RFP’s) and the formal presentation for a project. - Contact suppliers and vendors to discuss various requests and due dates. - Effectively and efficiently handle subcontractor requests. - Prepare and distribute time-sensitive materials. - Coordinate activities of the team from bid to proposal. - Provide a consistent customer service experience with subs and vendors. - Track and update vendor information and manage local vendor database. - Ability to prepare detailed estimate updates, as...
