Grade 4 (Hourly) Position Description: The Plant Operator II position assists the Plant Operator in the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of oil- and gas-fired boilers, centrifugal refrigeration equipment, and the underground tunnel system for steam and chilled water distribution. This role supports preventive and corrective maintenance, system inspections, and water treatment to help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. During the heating season, the position may work variable shifts to maintain continuous plant operation. This is a required personnel position that necessitates the employee’s physical presence in the workplace.
