Description $19/hr. to $22/hr. and a Free Family YMCA Membership Under the direction of the Building & Grounds Director, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the building and grounds at the branch. This role supports safe, clean, and functional facilities, assists with program and event setup, and may act as a designee for shift assignments or departmental coordination. This position requires demonstrating YMCA leadership competencies to uphold the mission, purpose, image, and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks for building systems, equipment, and grounds. · Repair and maintain building surfaces, structures, property, and operational equipment as directed by the Building & Grounds Director. · Maintain pools, filter systems, and associated aquatic equipment. · Inspect, clean, and maintain custodial equipment. · Assist in ensuring facility cleanliness and perform custodial duties as needed, including locker rooms and fitness areas. · Paint premises and perform construction or restoration projects as directed. · Report any damage or require...
