Life Safety Technician- Bloomington Hospital

Job description

Schedule: Monday- Friday; 7:00am- 3:30pm Responsibilities: Qualifications: With 15 hospitals, including seven with Magnet designation and eight with Pathways to Excellence designation, our team members are leading the way through excellence. - Works with the campus Life Safety Prints (LSP's) to check compliance of all rated walls, door assemblies and fire and/or smoke dampers. - Ensures department is compliant with required inspections and maintains code compliance. - Performs minor repairs or works with the appropriate vendors and contractors to maintain and repair various assemblies. - Utilizes the work order system to document inspections and repairs. - Coordinates updates to the LSP's with vendors as needed. - Performs other duties as assigned. - High School Diploma or GED is required. - Requires knowledge with lock, door, wall and damper assemblies. - Requires a basic understanding of the Life Safety Prints. - Requires the ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, schematics and diagrams. - Requires current knowledge of various federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Joint Commission codes and regulations. - Requires gen...
