Amentum is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for a position on Kauai, HI, to negotiate and purchase from vendors and/or subcontractors for materials and services as required and perform purchasing administrative tasks as needed to support the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) Project. The candidate shall possess working knowledge and be capable, under guidance, of performing other related tasks as a Purchasing Specialist. This position will support Contracting Services, as well as being cross-trained and cross-utilized in other departments. RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotes (RFQs), Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) and any other types of agreements as allowed in FAR Part 13. Identify sources of supply to meet availability and competitive pricing favorable to the company and the Government. Ensure compliance with company policies as well as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Analyze quotations for repair transactions and issue orders up to authorized purchase limits for vendor repairs.
