Facilities Manager

Job description

The Facilities Manager is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of JSI’s two Kanata locations. This role ensures that facilities are well maintained, compliant with safety standards, and responsive to the needs of employees and visitors. Working closely with internal teams and external vendors, the Facilities Manager plays a key role in creating a productive and welcoming workplace environment. Location: 99 Michael Cowpland Drive & 425 Leggett Drive, Kanata. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct routine inspections of both facilities to identify maintenance, safety, and operational needs. - Coordinate and oversee repairs, cleaning, and preventive maintenance with external vendors and contractors, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, construction, landscaping, and snow removal and cleaning services. - Respond promptly to facility-related service requests and emergencies, updating service tickets and documentation as required. - Monitor HVAC, lighting, and other building systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. - Maintain inventory of building supplies, equipment, and furniture for both locations. - Support office moves, furniture installation...
