Officer Security - All Shifts - On Call

Job description

The Officer Security position is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of safety and security of all guests and team members through proactive and professional services for The Palms hotel and casino. The position complements the existing security programs. Security Officers act as a visual deterrent, intervene and respond to all levels of security and potential emergency needs including acts or threats of violence, emergencies, and life safety threats, and mitigate incidents through early detection and/or disruption of criminal conduct or other undesirable activity. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. This position requires specialized training and physical conditioning. Core Job Responsibilities: Ensures establishment and its surrounding premises are protected by providing public safety to customers, team members, facilities, and operations. Checks interior & exterior of premises for unusual signs, which might indicate illegal entry and/or activity, and speaks to occupants/visitors to assure that everything is in order.
