Job description
As the Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of paint coating, spray booth equipment, and systems, as well as performing the cleaning, sanding, priming, and painting machine parts surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint and coatings designed to withstand the rugged and challenging terrain of the forestry industry. Location: 1403 Dundas Street, Woodstock, ON Dedicated Afternoon Shift: 3:30pm - 2:00am, Monday – Thursday Shift Premium: $3.00 / hour for afternoons Dedicated Weekend Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm, Friday - Sunday Shift Premium: $4.00 / hour for weekend days Job Duties: - Use of spray equipment to apply paint and other materials - Clean and prep surfaces using such processes as sanding, scraping and grinding - Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust in preparation for paint application, using abrasives, solvents, or sandblasters - Follow safety protocols and wear prescribed personal protective equipment to prevent injuries - Pour paint into spray guns and adjust nozzles and paint mixes for proper paint flow and coating thickness - Monitor and identify flaws, such as blisters or streaks, and correct the cause - Sand surfaces between coats...
