Welder - 2nd Shift

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities: - Check with department supervisor on machine assignment and job assignment. - Discuss with current welder from preceding shift about the machine’s performance and any possible difficulties encountered during the course of the shift. - Set-up welding equipment in accordance with specified set-up procedures and within acceptable set-up requirements. - Fabricate welding jigs when necessary. - Create inspection checklist for first-time jobs. - Conduct and document a first-piece inspection and obtain approval from Quality Control before proceeding. - Perform adjustments on machines and/or programs as needed, based upon results of first-piece inspections. - Weld parts, manually or robotically, according to specifications and within acceptable production requirements. - Unload and package parts according to EIMCo standards and customer requirements. - Complete accurate daily records (date, times, quantities of parts ran, and scrap) for every job worked on, on Shop Travelers and in the ERP system. - Follow instructions from all EIMCo documentation, including: Shop Traveler, Inspection Sheets, and blueprints. - Inform quality control, shift supervisor/ lead per...
