Senior Accountant, Fixed Assets

Job description

The Senior Accountant, Fixed Assets is responsible for managing key aspects of the organization’s fixed asset accounting processes, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, impairment, disposal, and reporting of fixed assets in compliance with U.S. GAAP (and IFRS where applicable). This role serves as a subject matter resource for fixed asset accounting, supports internal and external audits, partners cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Procurement, and contributes to process improvements and internal controls related to fixed asset accounting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned) Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirements, and disposals. Review asset additions to ensure appropriate classification, useful lives, and depreciation methodologies. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset close activities, including reconciliations between the fixed asset subledger and general ledger.
