POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and completing engineering projects. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, Procurement, Sales, and Product Management, to achieve project goals. This role will use an understanding of business case development, project management skills, high attention to detail, and will obtain a strong understanding of the design and development process of consumer products. CORE FUNCTIONS: · Engineering: o Responsible for guiding platform-level engineering, design, and validation. o Apply engineering knowledge to ensure project design and specifications meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. · Business Case Development: o Utilize a strong understanding of BOM Development and Cost Estimating to understand and determine total project cost, including labor, overhead, and material. · Problem Solving: o Address issues and challenges as they arise, offering innovative solutions to keep the project on track. · Design: o Design in CAD (SolidWorks or similar software) for the intention of production implementation (using the DFMA t...
