Patient Placement Coordinator RN – Emergency Services

Job description

The Patient Placement RN works closely with physicians, other hospitals, clinics and numerous departments to ensure timely placement and transfer of patients to St. Patrick Hospital. This role is responsible for coordination of information to ensure a transfer that meets the patient's clinical needs. The person makes complex decisions based on information provided from providers, hospital policy and collaboration with multiple departments throughout the hospital. Provides superior customer service and service recovery, utilizing good judgment and independent thinking that meets or exceeds the expectations of patients, visitors, physicians and St Patrick staff. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept. This position is key to the financial viability of St Patrick Hospital and highest levels of customer service and patient satisfaction. This position helps to coordinate access to services at St. Patrick Hospital. They interface with all departments of the hospital and contribute to the operational effectiveness of the hospital.
