Job description

IRB Barcelona seeks an enthusiastic Lab Technician to join our Molecular Modelling and Bioinformatics. Our research focuses on the study of molecular recognition processes of biological significance from methodological and application points of view. The main subjects addressed are the structure of non-standard nucleic acids, the dynamic properties of macromolecules, and protein-ligand and protein-protein recognition. This position is funded by Proyecto PID2024-155247NB-I00 financiado por MCIU /AEI /10.13039/501100011033 / FEDER, UE. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for a candidate to work on research software development, designing, developing and maintaining biomolecular simulation tools and workflows to make them available to the scientific community. Our informatics team works building a bridge between researchers (biologists, chemists, physicists, mathematicians, etc.) and the computational science field, applying software best practices to the existing codes, making them more usable, reproducible and interoperable YOU HAVE: Bachelor degree or higher in Mathematics, Physics or similar.
