Process Technician

Job description

PURPOSE: The Process Technician is a member of the production unit who provides both process and equipment troubleshooting and gathers pertinent information for Production, Engineering, Maintenance and Quality by continuously evaluating the process equipment and recommending changes to improve safety, quality and value. RESPONSIBILITIES : SPECIFIC JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, COURSE S, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: The incumbent provides technical assistance to Production and Maintenance in resolving day-to-day production problems and provides technical knowledge/ assistance to Engineering for development projects involving new or modified equipment/processes. The incumbent will preferably possess a 2 year degree in a relevant field. Exp erience in the production processes as well as in products and process capabilities is highly preferred . S/he must also possess above-average technical skills and maintain an up-to-date basic knowledge of all plant processes as each area is closely dependent upon the others .
