Job description

The Huang Laboratory at Mayo Clinic is a translational physician–scientist–led research program focused on developing next-generation, non-viral liver-directed gene therapy platforms for cancer and rare diseases. Our work centers on innovative hydrodynamic and endoscopic delivery approaches to enable efficient, liver-specific gene transfer and in situ production of therapeutic molecules. By integrating gene therapy, cancer immunology, and advanced endoscopy, our goal is to create scalable, safe, and re-dosable alternatives to viral vectors and to develop transformative treatments for gastrointestinal malignancies such as colorectal and hepatocellular cancer. The lab operates within a highly collaborative environment at Mayo Clinic, with strong connections to immunology, transplantation, bioengineering, and clinical trial programs, enabling rapid translation from bench to bedside. Research responsibilities: We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows with a strong interest in gene therapy, immunotherapy, and cancer biology. Prior experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: gene delivery systems (viral or non-viral), plasmid design, liver biology, cancer i...
