Job Summary The Statistics Department in the College of Science and Mathematics at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking to hire full-time lecturers for two-year contracts, with appointments beginning August 17, 2026 and ending approximately May 19, 2028. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The anticipated hiring range for a finalist with a master's degree is $67,404 - $71,508 annually. The anticipated hiring range for a finalist with a doctorate degree is $78,432 - $89,772 annually. Primary duties and responsibilities are to teach introductory statistics courses. Required Qualifications: - Master’s degree in Statistics or closely related field. - Must have ability to teach the following undergraduate courses: Statistical and Data Literacy, Applied Statistical Concepts and Methods, Business Statistics I, Business Statistics II, Statistics I, Engineering Statistics. Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrated excellence in teaching and/or industrial experience involving applied statistics. - Doctoral degree in Statistics.
