Our Mental Health Technician responsibilities include some of the following: Care for our patients daily by assessing behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift. Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shift and document patient’s behavior. - · Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients. - · Orient the patients to the unit and assist them with daily living skills. - · Provide a safe, clean and therapeutic environment. - - Provide physical restraint or intervention if appropriate. Training will be provided. Qualifications for the Mental Health Technician should include the following: Minimum Age - Must be at least 21 years of age. - Education : High School Degree or equivalent is required.
