Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the supervision and direction of the Provider and Registered Nurse, provides direct patient care necessary for efficient functioning of the Emergency Department consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of Emory Healthcare. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Operates as a customer service champion, keeping patients and providers informed, providing information and updates to patients, apologizing for waits, demonstrating caring, compassion, and concern, demonstrating a sense of urgency, advocating for pain management, and ensuring that patients can get help at any time. Demonstrates, through behavior, Emory Healthcare's core values of integrity, compassion, service, excellence, stewardship, and teamwork as outlined in the organization's SERVICE initiatives. Administers medication, oral or by injection, and performs phlebotomy procedures under a Physician's or RN's direction / Protocol or order.
