JOB SUMMARY: A Standard Products Service Technician at Doble Engineering will test, service, and calibrate Doble (Maryland) equipment. In this position the individual will troubleshoot, test, and calibrate all standard product lines. The Standard Products Service Technician will also communicate to Doble customers via email and telephone and also be required to troubleshoot equipment over the phone, repair and calibrate equipment in house, create quotes for in-house services and parts. This position is located at Doble’s Accident, Maryland facility and reports into the Service Manager. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Independent analysis and repair of high voltage, high current test equipment. - Troubleshoot system faults on relay, PLC, and microprocessor-controlled equipment. - Remove and replace system components to accomplish repair. - Operationally check equipment after repair for serviceability. - Conduct calibration and preventative maintenance service. - Use voltage and current supplies, kilovoltmeters, multi-meters, potential transformers, current transformers, and other equipment to calibrate high voltage, high current test equipment. - Perform preventative inspection and basic...
