Job description

What's the Short Version? The Accountant supports SanMar's financial consolidation, financial reporting, internal control, intercompany, payments, and monthly reconciliations. They work independently to record transactions, update the general ledger, reconcile accounts and assist with issue escalation and/or resolution. What Will You Be Doing?: - Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and assist controller in preparation of monthly/quarterly consolidated financial statements. - Contribute to the month-end close process to ensure timely, accurate financial data that is in compliance with GAAP and accounting policies with the ability to communicate status and results. - Conduct fact checks, resolve discrepancies, gather and analyze information. - Prepare and audit financial reports. - Assist with year-end external audit. - Produce scheduled and ad hoc reports. - Perform other duties as assigned. - Comply with all policies and standards.
