BIM Technician (HVAC & Plumbing)

Job description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled BIM Technician to support our HVAC and Plumbing construction projects. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining Building Information Models (BIM) to ensure accurate design, clash detection, and efficient project execution. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to deliver high-quality, constructible models. Key Responsibilities: Create and maintain 3D BIM models for HVAC and plumbing systems using industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Evolve). Interpret mechanical and plumbing drawings, specifications, and submittals to develop accurate models. Perform clash detection and coordination with other trades (structural, electrical, architectural). Produce detailed shop drawings, spool drawings, and as-built documentation. Assist in project coordination meetings and communicate model updates to stakeholders. Ensure models comply with project standards, codes, and company BIM protocols.
