Buyer/OSP Coordinator

Job description

The Buyer / OSP Coordinator is responsible for procuring materials and services required to support manufacturing operations, with a strong emphasis on managing and coordinating Outside Processing (OSP) activities. This role ensures materials and subcontracted services meet cost, quality, and delivery requirements while maintaining accurate system transactions and supplier communication. The position works closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Receiving to ensure seamless flow of purchased and OSP-processed parts through the facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Source and procure materials, components, and services in support of production schedules and customer requirements. - Coordinate all outside processing operations including, but not limited to, plating, heat treat, machining, grinding, paint, and special processes. - Verifies part numbers, revisions, specifications, and quantities against engineering and production requirements. - Communicate OSP requirements clearly to suppliers, including drawings, specifications, certifications, packaging, and return logistics. - Solicit, analyze, and negotiate supplier quotations for pricing, lead time, and de...
