Overview: MS/MSN required Minimum 6 years of nursing experience required 1.0 fte/40 hours per week Job Description Summary: The Professional Development Education Nurse Specialist develops tools, theories, skills, and knowledge to advance the practice of the learner based on the Association of Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) Scope and Standards. The primary outcomes of nursing professional development practice include: learning, change, professional role competence and growth. Job Description: Essential Functions: - Assesses and analyzes the education needs of all levels of nursing and other patient care staff in collaboration with patient care leadership and makes recommendations regarding priority programming. - Designs instructional systems and acts as a consultant to nursing and other patient care services to meet competency needs, age-appropriate patient/family care needs, and other learning needs related to functioning within their job descriptions of all levels of nursing staff, patient care services personnel, and other groups as requested. - Manages, interprets, and provides standards for educational programs and courses which foster quality, state of the art educa...
