Welding Process Engineer II

Job description

Oversees and maintains production process and products for welding of suspension components for the facility. Essential Functions: - Manage current production projects and support production & engineering with future product launches. - Evaluate current product process and provide input regarding manufacturability and cost. - Evaluate existing product designs/processes and make improvements regarding cost and quality. - Design, procurement, and implementation of fabrication, welding, and assembly systems, including all necessary documentation. - Perform manufacturing/product cost analysis and capacity evaluation. - Manage/maintain welding process control activities for robotic GMAW Systems. - Design and development of fabrication processes to support product demands. - Assurance that all applicable quality and safety standards are met for new and existing products. Education and Training: BS in Engineering required. Preferably in welding engineering. Mechanical Engineer with adequate welding system experience shall be considered.
