Quality and Education Specialist

Job description

Under general supervision, incumbent provides support for education, quality improvement and safety initiatives and projects. Primary duties include supporting the Clinical Education Manager through coordination of educational programs and materials; conducting medical record audits and summarizing data to support regulatory compliance and accreditation; providing support for the Quality team; and participating in quality committees and quality improvement projects. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care management, or related field required. Experience: 1 year of recent varied patient chart review experience and/or quality assurance experience preferred. Skills: - Strong customer relations and presentation skills. - Analytical ability required to gather and interpret data and translate it into useful information. - Skill in using a computer and a variety of personal productivity applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Skilled in producing schedules, timelines, data reports, graphs, control charts. - Strong organizational skills to manage multiple long-term projects. - Skilled in abstracting data from EMR for review and analysis.
