Mechanical Test Engineer, Platforms Infrastructure

Job description

Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Experience with hardware evaluation methodologies (e.g., lab measurements, environmental stress testing, performance monitoring, test automation, and data analysis). - Experience with test scripts and debug failures during test execution with the development team. Preferred qualifications: - Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field. - Experience working in a mechanical engineering technical environment. - Experience with Shock and Vibe testing, solid-state drives (SSD) or hard disk drives (HDD) testing. - Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T), Bill of materials (BOM) management, document control, work instructions, DFx (Design for Excellence), Tolerance Stackup Analysis. - Experience working with Joint Development Manufacturer (JDMs), contract manufacturers and documenting hardware and test specifications. - Proficiency with Solidworks or Creo and ability to do hand-calculations and simulation for structural and thermal a...
