Overview Anne Arundel Dermatology is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our outpatient dermatology clinic in Knoxville, TN. The Medical Assistant will assist Physicians and other Providers by preparing procedure trays, ensuring adequate supplies for the department and assisting with patient care. Knoxville Dermatology Group (KDG) is one of the largest groups of board certified dermatologists in Tennessee. All of our physicians are board-certified with extensive dermatology experience. With thirteen providers between two locations, West Knoxville & Sevierville, we are able to treat our patients for all of their dermatology needs. Responsibilities: - Escort patient to exam room and confirm first & last name & DOB. - Obtain and record vital signs. - Organize patient flow. - Setup procedure tray, instruments, and equipment according to instructions. - Prepare Path/lab specimens, route to correct lab directed by patient insurance plan. - Respond to patient questions in office and on phone as instructed. - Check to-dos/Nurse line. - Calibrate, clean, sterilize and inventory all equipment & instruments according to schedule.
