Description COME JOIN THE REEFER PETERBILT TEAM! We are seeking a Service Manager for our New Boston, MI location. The Service Manager is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the Service Department while developing and maintaining a high level of overall customer satisfaction. This is an exempt position. SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS: - Dependable - Works well independently - Effective communicator DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervises the day-to-day activities of all Service Department employees, and is responsible for the profitability and overall financial performance of the Service Department - Manage the repair process and shop workflow - Addresses and handles personnel issues for the Service Department to include Performance Appraisals, Performance Improvement Plans, and disciplinary action when applicable - Participates in the recruiting, Interviewing, and hiring of diesel technicians and administrative staff - Ensures shop personnel are properly trained and certified by scheduling training classes and/or arranging in-house training as needed - Establishes and maintains effective management and record-keeping systems - Holds regular shop meetings, forem...
