Position Summary The Surface Prep Technician is responsible for preparing components and materials for finishing processes in accordance with established specifications, safety standards, and production schedules. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Training will be provided to ensure proper use of equipment, tools, and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Prepare surfaces of metal, plastic, or composite components through approved methods such as sanding, grinding, blasting, or cleaning. - Perform masking, degreasing, and inspection of parts to ensure compliance with quality requirements prior to finishing or coating. - Operate hand tools, power tools, and surface preparation equipment in a safe and efficient manner. - Interpret and follow work instructions, blueprints, and technical specifications. - Monitor and maintain assigned equipment, reporting any mechanical or process-related issues to supervision. - Adhere to all company safety policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. - Maintain an organized and clean work environment consistent with 5S...
