Macro Strategist Location: New York: Business Area: News and Media: Ref #: 10050197 Description & Requirements: Bloomberg News is looking for a macro strategist to join Markets Live, its flagship markets blog for Terminal clients. You will join a global team of experienced strategists and editors who combine sophisticated macro analysis, speed and news judgment to deliver a 24/7, real-time product. You will construct frameworks to translate the most pertinent themes into actionable insights across asset classes. You will use your contacts to stay on top of market trends and talking points. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our team's audio squawk channel, as well collaborate with colleagues across print, broadcast and digital. To be successful in this role, you will need prior experience covering macro markets. You will have the ability to communicate ideas in cleanly written and sharply delivered posts, often under time pressure. You will have a nose for news, and the skill to provide context on why it matters for traders and how it could shape markets moving forward.
