Environmental Sustainability Engineer

Job description

The role is focused on reducing environmental impact and driving long-term sustainability performance across UL Solutions. Under supervision, the engineer helps develop solutions to reduce GHG emissions across scopes 1,2 and 3; reduce energy use; and help define other circularity opportunities. The role also champions the integration of sustainability into day-to-day operations. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in one of the following locations: Environmental impact reduction and engineering solutions Identify and evaluate engineering solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, energy use, waste, and water consumption. Conduct environmental performance analyses by modeling energy use, emissions, and resource flows using engineering tools and other methods; diagnose inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions. Support the evaluation and implementation of renewable energy options and other low-carbon technologies.
