Job description

The Strategy and Evaluation Division (ICDSE) of the Institute for Capacity Development (ICD) Department has a vacancy for an experienced Economist/Senior Economist. ICDSE is responsible for coordinating the overall governance and strategy of the Fund’s capacity development (CD) program, which now accounts for around a third of Fund output. The overarching objectives of the policies developed by ICDSE are aimed at (i) enhancing the impact of the Fund’s CD including through increased integration with surveillance and lending, effective prioritization, and a streng​thened focus on implementation and results; and (ii) increasing the efficiency of CD processes and systems. ICDSE focuses its work around three mutually reinforcing pillars of activities: (i) CD Governance, (ii) CD Data and Analytics, and (iii) CD Results Measurement. In carrying out its work, the division collaborates closely with ICD divisions (mainly ICDGP/ICDRM but also other ICD divisions), area departments, and CD-delivering departments.
