Detailed Position Information: The School of Music at the University of Alabama invites applications for a full-time instructor. This position is a non-tenure earning, 1-year appointment with the possibility of renewal of appointment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in music theory and the supervision of graduate teaching assistants. Anticipated course load: 12 credit hours per semester. QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in music theory; Ph.D. candidates currently working on dissertations will be considered. Successful college teaching experience is required.
