1-year fixed-term full-time contract (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) Salary is based on experience and is equivalent to the ACT Public Sector Nursing and Midwifery Enterprise Agreement Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health & Community Services (Winnunga AHCS) is Canberra’s only Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. Located in the heart of Canberra, we deliver trusted, holistic healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the ACT and surrounding regions. We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to work in our busy clinical services. The role of the Practice Nurse is to enhance the clinical services offered at Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health and Community Services to the clients. This exceptionally professional and committed staff member will be responsible for the following tasks: - Provide clinical care including bloods and specimen collection, ECG’s, assessment and management of wounds, suture removal and administration of medication. - Attend to full health checks and contribute towards development of chronic disease care plans consistent with set criteria.
